Michael’s House for effective drug and alcohol rehab

Research shows us that addiction is a disease just like any physical illness or disease. An addict or alcoholic can’t just use their will power to abstain.  They need drug and alcohol rehab, medical treatment and lifestyle counseling to overcome their addiction and maintain abstinence.

Treatment for addiction to any substance is multilayered and somewhere like Michael’s House provides a safe place to explore treatment options.  Widely recognized as an effective drug rehab and alcohol rehab treatment centre, Michael’s House helps not just individuals affected by alcoholism and substance abuse, but their families as well.

Alcoholism and substance abuse frequently have what are known as co-occurring disorders, such as psychiatric disorders.  All these issues are taken into consideration at Michael’s House treatment centers as their treatment philosophy is a holistic one.  They have a residential rehab center in Palm Springs, close to the San Jacinto Mountains.

The staff at Michael’s House are trained in what is known as the Foundations Treatment Model which enables them to address the variety of needs of those who are affected by chemical addiction.  During their participation in the in-patient program at Michael’s House, people can expect to receive education about relapse prevention, the 12 Step principles and increase their knowledge about their condition.
